As the date for the Rajya Sabha nomination draws near, the activism has intensified.
In Bihar, the core committee of Bihar BJP authorized Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal to decide the names of candidates for a Rajya Sabha seat. The core committee also decided six names. The state president will put these names before the central leadership. The central leadership will decide on which leader the party will send to the Rajya Sabha.
In the state office, there was a gathering of preferred leaders of Bihar BJP. Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nityanand Rai and Ashwini Choubey, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, former minister Dr CP Thakur and other leaders attended the meeting of the core committee chaired by state BJP president MP Dr Sanjay Jaiswal .
According to party leaders, the chances of any one of the sitting MPs going to the Rajya Sabha are high. However, in view of this year's assembly elections, it is also being speculated that the party may send a new face to the Rajya Sabha to appease the core vote bank. As long as the list of names duly released by the central leadership is not released, the skepticism will remain. However, such leaders in the party have started appearing in Delhi Durbar.
