Chief Minister Participates in ‘GST Savings Utsav’ Program in Premnagar, Dehradun

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the ‘GST Savings Utsav’ program held in Premnagar, Dehradun. The event was organized with the objective of spreading public awareness about the GST rate reductions recently implemented across the country and to inform citizens about the direct benefits of these reductions.

On Monday evening, the Chief Minister visited Premnagar local market, where he interacted with traders and took feedback regarding the new GST slabs. He also urged them to inform the general public about the reduced GST rates.


CM Engages in Direct Dialogue with Citizens

The Chief Minister visited various shops and establishments, personally taking feedback from shopkeepers. He appealed to traders to prioritize Swadeshi (indigenous) products, stating “By giving preference to local products, we strengthen the people of India and the Indian economy.”

He interacted with a large number of citizens, explaining the features and benefits of the newly introduced ‘Next Generation GST’. CM Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government has reduced GST slabs on several essential goods and services to provide direct relief to the common man.

Appeal to Promote Swadeshi and Local Products

The Chief Minister urged people to increasingly purchase Swadeshi and local products, emphasizing that this will encourage cottage industries and local entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening both the state and national economy. He said: “When we give priority to our local products, only then will our rural and urban entrepreneurs become empowered, and the vision of a self-reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat) will gain momentum.”

He added that it is the responsibility of every citizen to adopt local and Swadeshi products and contribute to the development of society and the state.

Chief Minister Shri Dhami stated “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, economic reforms and public welfare are progressing hand in hand in the country. The reduction in GST rates has provided relief to all sections of society – from homemakers to small traders, everyone is benefiting.”

He also mentioned that programs like ‘GST Savings Utsav’ provide a direct platform for communication with the public, allowing them to better understand and feel the benefits of the government’s policies.


Public Expresses Gratitude to Prime Minister Modi

Citizens present at the event expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the relief provided through the GST rate cuts. They stated that the reduction in tax rates on daily-use items has eased the burden on household budgets, bringing real relief to the common man.

People at the event expressed their strong trust and confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dhami, saying that the duo has led the nation and the state on the path of development, security, and economic stability.

A large number of citizens, traders, women, youth, and senior citizens were present at the venue and described the GST rate cuts as a gift from the Double Engine Government.


Dignitaries Present at the Event included MLA Smt. Savita Kapoor, BJP Metropolitan President Shri Siddharth Agarwal, State Minister Aditya Chauhan, along with several other notable personalities and party workers.
