May IGRS report reveals significant improvement in quality and speed of complaint redressal
Lucknow, June 5:
The Yogi Adityanath government is setting new benchmarks in resolving public grievances with transparency, speed, and accountability. Thanks to the Chief Minister’s direct monitoring, there has been a marked improvement in both the timeliness and quality of grievance redressal across the state. This has led to a steady decline in the number of unresolved complaints, as reflected in the May 2024 ranking released by the CM Dashboard and the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS).
According to the report, Shravasti district has once again emerged as the best performer in complaint resolution, followed by Shahjahanpur and Amethi in second and third positions, respectively.
Shravasti District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi shared that, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, a structured strategy has been adopted in the district to ensure timely redressal of complaints. Public hearings are conducted every day at 10 AM, followed by continuous monitoring of complaint progress throughout the day. Pending cases are reviewed at 5 PM, and dissatisfied feedback cases are assessed for quality at 9 PM.
He further stated that, following CM Yogi’s directives, all departmental officers have been instructed to treat grievance resolution as a top priority. In addition, nodal officers are regularly monitoring the quality of resolutions, which has helped ensure transparency and effectiveness. As a result, Shravasti has consistently ranked among the top five districts in timely and high-quality grievance resolution. According to the latest IGRS and CM Dashboard reports for May, the district secured the top spot in the state.
DM Dwivedi shared that Shravasti scored 137 out of 140 points in the May IGRS report, with a resolution rate of 97.86% — the highest in the state. Other top performers included Shahjahanpur (95.71%) at second, Amethi (94.29%) at third, Hamirpur (94.29%) at fourth, and Ambedkar Nagar (89.29%) at fifth place.
These districts not only resolved complaints within the stipulated time but also ensured high standards in solution quality. The sixth to tenth ranks were secured by Hathras, Azamgarh, Chandauli, Mainpuri, and Siddharthnagar, respectively.
CM Yogi Adityanath has consistently emphasized the importance of timely and satisfactory grievance resolution. His instructions have led to a drop in both the number of complaints and the dissatisfaction rate. Platforms such as the Chief Minister Helpline, online portals, and IGRS are being effectively utilized.
The IGRS ranking system has created healthy competition among districts, which directly benefits the citizens of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government’s vision is to ensure that grievance redressal is not just a process, but a meaningful solution — timely, transparent, and satisfactory for every citizen.
